What is PTE?

PTE is an English language proficiency test designed to assess the reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills of non-native speakers. It is widely accepted by universities, colleges, and governments around the world as a measure of English language proficiency.

Our PTE training programs:

We offer a variety of training programs to suit your needs and goals. Our courses include:

    1. PTE Beginner Course: Designed for students who have little or no experience with the PTE exam. The course covers the basics of the exam format and structure and provides strategies for each section of the exam.
    2. PTE Advanced Course: Designed for students who have already taken the PTE exam and want to improve their scores. The course covers advanced strategies and techniques for each section of the exam.
    3. PTE Writing Course: Designed for students who want to improve their writing skills for the PTE exam. The course covers the different types of writing tasks on the exam and provides strategies for writing effectively and efficiently.
  • PTE Speaking Course: Designed for students who want to improve their speaking skills for the PTE exam. The course covers the different types of speaking tasks on the exam and provides strategies for speaking confidently and fluently.
  • PTE Listening Course: Designed for students who want to improve their listening skills for the PTE exam. The course covers the different types of listening tasks on the exam and provides strategies for understanding spoken English in different contexts.

1. Introduction to PTE Academic
  • Objective: Understand the test structure, scoring, and time management.
  • Test Format:
    • Total duration: 2 hours
    • 20 question types in 4 sections: Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening.
  • Scoring:
    • Based on communicative and enabling skills: fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
  • Preparation Strategy:
    • Analyze strengths and weaknesses.
    • Create a study plan with daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

2. Speaking Section (54-67 minutes)
  • Personal Introduction:
    • Record a 30-second introduction.
    • Skills practiced: Fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary.
    • Example: “Hello, my name is Sarah. I’m from India, and I’m currently studying computer science. My hobbies include reading and playing chess.”
  • Read Aloud:
    • Task: Read a written passage aloud.
    • Strategy: Focus on word stress and intonation.
    • Example: “The PTE Academic is a test designed to assess the English proficiency of non-native speakers.”
  • Repeat Sentence:
    • Task: Listen to a sentence and repeat it exactly.
    • Tips: Focus on intonation and stress while repeating.
    • Example: Audio: “The sun rises in the east.” Your response: “The sun rises in the east.”
  • Describe Image:
    • Task: Describe charts, graphs, or pictures in 40 seconds.
    • Strategy: Identify key details quickly.
    • Example: “The bar chart shows population growth in urban areas from 2015 to 2020, with a steady increase each year.”
  • Retell Lecture:
    • Task: Summarize an audio lecture in 40 seconds.
    • Strategy: Take notes on key points and organize them logically.
  • Answer Short Questions:
    • Task: Respond to general knowledge questions.
    • Example: Q: “What do we call the person who writes books?” A: “Author.”

3. Reading Section (29-30 minutes)
  • Reading & Writing: Fill in the Blanks:
    • Task: Choose appropriate words to complete blanks.
    • Skills needed: Grammar and context understanding.
  • Multiple Choice:
    • Task: Choose one or more correct answers after reading a passage.
    • Tips: Focus on scanning for keywords.
  • Re-order Paragraphs:
    • Task: Rearrange jumbled sentences into a logical order.
    • Tips: Look for linking words, subject continuity.
  • Reading: Fill in the Blanks:
    • Task: Drag and drop correct words into blanks based on the passage.

4. Listening Section (30-43 minutes)
  • Summarize Spoken Text:
    • Task: Write a 50-70 word summary of an audio clip.
    • Tips: Take notes on main ideas and structure them.
  • Multiple-Choice Questions:
    • Task: Choose correct answers based on an audio recording.
  • Fill in the Blanks:
    • Task: Type missing words in sentences while listening to audio.
  • Highlight Incorrect Words:
    • Task: Identify words in the transcript that differ from the recording.
  • Write from Dictation:
    • Task: Transcribe a sentence spoken in the recording.
5. Mock Tests and Practice
  • Complete 3-5 full-length mock exams.
  • Analyze performance with detailed feedback.
  • Work on time management under test-like conditions.
6. General Skills Development
  • Vocabulary Building: Practice with lists of academic words.
  • Pronunciation & Fluency: Record your responses and evaluate pronunciation.
  • Grammar Practice: Focus on sentence structure and tenses.

7. Writing Section (54-67 minutes)
  • Summarize Written Text:
    • Task: Write a single-sentence summary of a passage in 10 minutes.
    • Strategy: Use connectors (however, therefore, as a result).
    • Example: “Global warming, caused by greenhouse gases, requires urgent government action to reduce emissions.”
  • Essay Writing:
    • Task: Write a 200-300 word essay in 20 minutes.
    • Structure: Introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion.
    • Example Question: “Do you agree that social media has a negative impact on relationships?”
